The $900,000US dollars controversy

A difference of opinion has developed between the current education minister and his predecessor about how to spend a $900,000US dollars grant courtesy of the United Nations. The former education minister believes the money should be spent on an education survey, whilst the current minister believe the money should be spent on financing new literacy programmes. The grant was negotiated in 2011 by Andrew Holness when he was Minister of Education.
