The New Providence Primary school, a school in the parish of ST. Andrew, celebrated their Heritage week from October 8- 11. The cultural committee members organised an edifying experience for students and teacher about their cultural heritage through, devotional exercises, questions and answer sessions and also through organizing a heritage concert.
On Thursday October 11, a heritage village was set up on the school's ground where each grade displayed a different Jamaican hero and the parishes that they were from. The day ended with a Heritage concert in which students performed and were awarded by Teen Observer for their participation in a drawing contest. Support was given from corporate Jamaica with private Companies such as Flow, Kool Aid and Teen Observer joining in the celebration with the pupils and teachers of New Providence Primary School.
